Trimble Juno 5 Series: Resetting the Handheld

If the Trimble® Juno® 5 handheld’s touchscreen stops responding, you may need to reset the handheld. This support note describes the methods for performing soft and factory resets.

 Performing a soft reset

If the touchscreen stops responding:

1. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until the power menu appears.

2. Tap Reset to reset the device.

 Performing a factory reset

If the soft reset does not rectify an issue, you can reset the handheld to its default factory settings. A factory-reset erases all data, settings, and installed application from the handhelde. It will not affect data on the storage card or pre-installed applications.

1. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until the power menu appears.

2. Tap Reset.

3. When the screen is blank, press and hold the Windows Start button.

4. When the Juno 5 series screen appears, while still holding the Windows Start button, press the right programmable button.

5. Release both buttons.

6. Press the Action button (the middle button of the Volume / Programmable control buttons on the left side of the handheld) to clear the persistent store, and then press any other button to continue booting
